Izzy is a 1 year old, 6 lb spayed female bunny with very unique markings. She is very good with her litter box and loves bunny run time. Hi, Im Izzy. Some volunteers call me Izzy Bizzy because Im always moving and exploring and making new friends here at Tranquility Trail. Pardon mefor stating the obvious but Im a breathtakingly beautiful girl who was transferred to Tranquility Trail from another animal welfare agency because I was, in their mind, unadoptable. They felt I was too aggressive and would not be a good candidate for adoption. I boxed, grunted and lunged but it was only because I was scared. Im not mean, thats a human trait and not a bunny one. I was just very fearful because no one it seemed was interested in spending quality time with me. They mistook my grunts for aggression but the truth is I just like to talk. Some bunnies just talk. Im a smart little girl with a whole bunch of really interesting things to say so I tend to talka lot. But like all misunderstood bunnies, I just needed a quiet and safe place to find my peace, learn to trust again and then let my inner-Izzy-ness out. Within a matter of a week, I had found my curious side and slowly but surely began venturing out from my willow tent to see the new world around me. What I saw were a whole host of loving, unconditional and gentle people who were committed to rehabilitating me. Within a short amount of time, I was hopping up to the front of my pen, standing up on my hind feet and begging for head rubs. Make a noteI LOVE my head rubs! I learned for the first time in my life that a human can be a source of yummy treats, warmth and love, and I discovered that a human can also be a playmate and a soulmate. Whoda thunk it? I have so many friends nowso many people that I am so happy to spend time with. My transformation has been remarkable they say and I am willing to trust again. The volunteers here are so proud of me and they believe that my perfect family is coming for me and when they walk through the door they will see the intelligent, sensitive, oh-so-silly and happy bunny I was born to beand I am now becoming.
