AVAILABLE! LOOKING FOR MY FOREVER HOME! We believe there is a home for every dog we foster. Some just take a little longer to find. Most dogs spend at least a short time in foster care so we can evaluate their behaviors in a home setting. We can give potential adopters information on how the dog may interact with cats, children, men, women, other dogs, and so on. These are vital components to a good match. We also try to improve potty training skills if they are not already house trained. Our foster homes provide good nutrition and an understanding lap to prepare our dogs for life in a world where fear and starvation are non-existent. WHAT IS MY ADOPTION FEE? Our adoption fee for this dog is: $175.00 This fee helps to offset what we have spent on medical costs such as; any needed veterinary bills, rabies, DHPP & Bordatella vaccinations, spay or neuter & a microchip. ALL ABOUT ME!! CUUUTE! FUN! ENERGETIC! PLAYFUL! SNUGGLY! Sound good? Then check me out! I am Joey. I came from the Humane Society after my adoptive owner decided it was too much work to potty train me. Gee whiz, I am just too BUSY to have time for THAT stuff, but you DO need to make me listen and go outside to potty (hey, I love the outside too, I am sure I would learn to do all of that OUTSIDE all the time). I have very few other behavioral issues, but I do sometimes get a little extra growly with SOME other dogs (but not ALL of them). Also, sometimes when you are loving on me, I tend to growl and mouth your hand a bit. It may seem as if I am biting, but I am NOT, I am just PLAYING! I need to learn that is not the best way to play with humans. I am five years old, it's too bad my other humans haven't taught me better behavior yet. Will you help me learn? I have very slight luxating patellas (that means my knee joints aren't as sturdy as they should be), but you sure wouldn't know it to look at me. I am very happily active and can jump up almost as well as the best of them (and I AM one of the best!). The only thing that this condition could affect is some possible arthritis when I am old. It will be VERY important to maintain my weight properly, so this doesn't become as much of an issue. I am ready to go to your house to begin my transition into the BETTER dog I SHOULD be. Please come get me!
