Hi, my name is Patti, and I am as cute as can be. When were playing my foster mom calls me Patti-cake and that really gets my attention! I am 8 years old, and I am still pretty afraid of people, though I am very interested in what they are doing and I follow my foster parents around the house a lot. I was used as a breeding dog until I came to the rescue, so I didnt have much contact with people, but I am slowly getting used to the idea of being touched. My foster mom sits next to me and massages my back, head and ears, and I am really starting to like that. I let her pick me up when she has to, but I still am not too thrilled with that idea. She put a harness and leash on me the other day, and I really didnt know what to do with that whole thing. She says we will keep working on this. I stay in a pen when no one is home because I am still learning the whole potty thing, but my foster mom says I am doing pretty well with this. I LOVE to go outside in the yard, and will spend most of the day out there when the weather is nice. I also like to play with the other dogs, and they are teaching me that I dont have to be afraid of people. Its probably a good idea for me to go to a home with a dog who is social with people and other dogs.
