budgerigar (American Parakeet)

Hi – I’m an olive green budgie (American Parakeet) hatched 5/30/08 that has been parent/hand fed, banded, has a hatch certificate, and raised in my breeder’s home in East Mesa in a breeder cage with my bonded Mom/Dad and brothers/sisters. Today I flew all by myself for the first time. I am very handsome, healthy, and very photogenic, as you can see. The bad news is it is time for me and my brothers/sisters and other cage mates to be adopted and leave our home and family. The good news is I am looking forward to a rewarding experience with my new adoptive family (my breeder told me she can’t keep all of us – even though she would love to keep me). Some of the other birds look different—they are blue, yellow, grey, pied, clearwing and grey wing—so you can have your choice if you don’t want me.
