I have a couple for IBM ThinkPads, one for a Compaq, and one for a Dell. And they may also work for other computers. $35 for any of them.
Even if your charger is working, you might want an extra one to leave in the car or in your office so you do not have to remember to take the one you have with you. You need to know what voltage, amperage, and polarity your notebook requires. IBM stopped playing games at least 7 years ago. All the IBM ThinkPads I have come across since 2000 use 16V AC adapters and the same cylindrical plug. So, if you need a ThinkPad charger, the one I have will probably work! All the Toshiba notebooks I have seen used 15V transformers, many of them could use the ThinkPad transformers because 1V is not a significant difference. But . . . Dell has been playing games for years, changing the voltage, amperage and connector from model to model. If you have a Dell it will be difficult to tell over the telephone if any of my chargers will work. I actually have many AC adapters (technically, they are 'transformers') but these are the ones specifically for notebook computers (some people call them 'laptops'): Apple: model M3057. 13V, 2.1A. Says it is from a Color StyleWriter 2200 but it may work for something else. Compaq: 18.5V, 3.8A. Model PPP002D (cylindrical plug). Dell: 12V, 3A, model PSCV360104A. (cylindrical plug with center pin). IBM Thinkpad: 16V, 2.2A. P/N 12J1447 (4 pin plug). IBM Thinkpad: 16V, 4.5A. P/N 02k6657 (cylindrical plug). Toshiba, 15V, 4A, model ADP-60RH (cylindrical plug). Toshiba, 15V, 2A, model PA2440U (cylindrical plug). All of the above plug into a wall outlet. Can eMail you a picture of any specific one if that will help. 602-697-1877 (OK to call 07:00 - midnight.
