Description

Antique Sewing Machine 1200 Bel-Air with case - $150

This is a vintage sewing machine model 1200 Bel-Air which is a round bobbin, straight stitch with many of its basic attachments.

The portable home-sewing machine was used throughout the early part of last century and into the post World War II years. Bel-Air machines imitated the look of turn of the century Singers and were actually manufactured in Japan in about 1950.

It was designed to be lightweight and portable, but was an inexpensive machine targeting the house wives of the day.

There is a chrome plate on the base and on all adjustment knobs which makes it very attractive. The belt is in good condition and the motor runs well. The motor is a Bell Electric Universal Motor and it sits on the back of the machine. It is considered to be a 3/4 size machine and is great sewing simple things as well as for teaching your children and grandkids how to sew on a machine.
